AirJelly

I’m not sure what the point of this is as the site is in German and I’m just too damn lazy to copy and paste it into a translator. But its memorizing to watch.

Thanks to 37signals.com and their Signal vs Noise for pointing this one out.

Dog Issues?

Last night we had some thunderstorms roll through the area. This is nothing new, its Iowa after all. We’re on the northern edge of Tornado Alley so we have more than our share of storms in the spring and summer months.

But for whatever reason, Dilly (the dog) has been waking up when the thunder starts to roll in. She typically will sleep at my feet but soon we are greeted with a dog wanting to cuddle higher up in the bed.

The secret to making money online

If you are a programmer, or someone in a small business, I highly recommend not only their products, but their book as well.

Here is a brief talk by David Heinemeier Hansson with a brief glimpse into how 37signals does it:

NHL Playoff Pool

Every year I run a NHL Playoff Pool. This year is no different. Its a free pool open to anyone that wants to join. Last year we had about 30 people from around the internet signed up.

So if you are a hockey fan, point your web browsers over to nhl.usrlocal.com.

Best of all, its FREE!!!

Teddy Bear Avalanche

I used to work and live in the Green Bay Wisconsin area. Loved it up there but it was a little too far from family. One of the events that I miss (besides getting to see every Packer game) is the Annual Green Bay Gambler Teddy Bear toss. This year, they gathered over 5600 bears for pediatric patients at the local hospitals.

Great work Green Bay and Shopko for donating 600 more bears on top of it all!
