My dog the mobster?
My wife and I woke up this morning to a rather gruesome scene in our front yard. At some point in the night, a rabbit got whacked in the front lawn.
Now, I’m not 100% sure if my dog was involved but I have a suspicion that she was behind the hit. She was with us the whole time so I know that it wasn’t her taking out the rabbit. But she has a hate for all critters. So somewhere along the lines, I’m pretty sure she made the arrangement for the “accident” to happen.
A storm is coming…
Do you ever get to a point where you know that you are about to go on wicked run, but aren’t sure where it is you are going to go?
I’m at that point. The last time this happened I programmed for 16 of 24 hours and came up with a pop3 proxy that could check for spam, viruses, apply certain actions based on the results and do various account verification and logging. This was just a proof of concept all written in PHP.
George W. Bush’s lost e-mails
There has been a lot reported about the Bush administration’s missing email issue. The main details are this. A 1993 court decision stated that emails fell under the Presidential Records Act which requires the president to preserve documents related to the performance of his official duties. Seems pretty reasonable that the White House should keep a record of every email that is sent.
The Clinton Administration answered this decision by adding an archiving system to their Lotus Notes email system.
Oh the humanity…
Let’s have a moment of silence for the ribs:
A brake fire sparked a massive barbecue on Interstate Highway 80 near Hazel Crest early Wednesday, when a truck hauling 25 tons of beef ribs went up in flames, state police said.
The semitrailer truck was traveling east on I-80 about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and was exiting onto southbound Interstate Highway 294 when a fire started in the braking system, igniting a blaze that consumed the trailer, said Master Sgt. David Bird of the Illinois State Police. The driver escaped unharmed.
