Digital Twin

I was recently listening the latest [Decoder](LInk to decoder] episode with CEO Eric Yuan of Zoom. He brought up the idea of the digital twin. Some of it was the normal stuff. How can I get the AI to summarize meeting notes, or organize my calendar. But he spoke about something that I thought was different. For that meeting where there isn’t a decision to be made. Where he is a participant and needs the summary, but maybe doesn’t need to tie up his time. How can I send a digital twin to actually summarize the infomration of the meeting. Maybe even go as far as asking a question to clarify something in my voice would be cool.

This was very interesting to me. Could this free up more of my time. Would this be a better experienece for me as an individual. Could I trust my digital twin?

BUT…. There is always a but on these things.

What is it like for the others in the meetings?

If I’m giving a presentation to my VP, and he doesn’t think its worth his time. But I believe it IS something that he needs to know. What kind of experienece is it for me. Quite frankly… it would be pretty fucking shitty. I see the benefit for the VP in the hypothetical situation. But the connection with people I think is the important thing here.

Scaling

Now… what about how I could have this work for me do be the admin that I currently don’t have? Could I have 3 assistants. Telling a virtual assistant that maybe is working with the main assistant that is a human, hot damn. I could get behind that. Maybe that admin now supports 100 people vs 3 people that they were able to scale before. The admin instead of having to take care of everything, maybe they only have to react to the exceptions. The places where the AI cannnot figure something out or it needs some validation.

How can I use the virtual twin to do mock interviews? Gather research? Do someof the work that can take hours, days or even weeks of a heavy intellection lift of work to process through. Give it to the virutal twin to get that done for me. Example, if I need to interview 500 people for a project, can I do 500 “twins” to do them this afternoon?

There are places where the AI virtual versions I could see upsetting some industries. But I think you’ll still need the exit out to a real person.

The future is coming at us pretty fast and I think there is going to be a huge impact to certain industries.
